To support a group of underprivileged and outstanding students for their entire high school education and/or college education. 

Title of the Scholarship

The SOAR Foundation - “Title” (assigned by sponsor, such as your name, the name of your family trust, an inspiring title, etc.)

Pledge Requirements

1. To sign “SOAR Named Scholarship Agreement” with The SOAR Foundation;
2. To support at least 5 students;
3. High/Vocational School Scholarships: $400 per student per year for 3 years;
4. College Scholarships: at least $700 per student per year for 4 years (or number of years required for graduation;
5. Vocational College Scholarships: $1000 per student per year for the first and second year, and $500 for the third year;
6. Donors may increase the number of students or the amount of each scholarship.

What Sponsors Will Receive From The SOAR Foundation

1. An expenditure report for the named scholarship;
2. Recipients’s status report upon request;
3. Recipients will receive a letter of encouragement introducing the sponsor(s) in the first year;  For sponsors who support 10 or more students, they may request to send a letter to the recipients each year.
4. Sponsors are encouraged to discuss their concerns and issues with SOAR scholarship committee for satisfactory resolutions.

The SOAR Foundation encourages sponsors to establish named scholarship in areas with active SOAR nominators.  It hopes to collaborate with the sponsors to ensure the scholarship’s long-term, continuous nature.

SOAR named scholarship program has been implemented since 2013.
